- To reply to enquiries and provide written quotes.
- To carry out, certify and invoice work you've booked.
- To meet legal obligations (electrical certification, tax records, insurance).
- To improve the website and its content.
Lawful basis
We rely on: (a) your consent when you send us an enquiry; (b) contract, where we're carrying out a job for you; and (c) legitimate interests, for running our business securely and lawfully. Where required, we rely on legal obligations (e.g. electrical certification and record-keeping).
Sharing
We don't sell your personal data. We only share it with trusted parties where necessary, for example our accountant, NAPIT for certification notification, our insurer in the event of a claim, or law enforcement where required by law.
Retention
Enquiry data: kept for up to 24 months if no job proceeds. Job records, certificates and invoices: kept for the periods required by tax, insurance and electrical certification obligations (typically 6+ years).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and can object to certain uses. Email us to exercise any of these. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
